Vittorio Bellani is professor at the Department of Physics, University of Pavia, Italy. He has been Post-Doc researcher with an European Union “Human Capital and Mobility” fellowship at the Department of Material Science, Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain (1994-96) and FNRS junior research fellow at the Institute of Applied Physics, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland (1990-93). He obtained his Ph.D. in Physics in 1994 at the University of Pavia. His current research deals with the experimental study of graphene and of carbon and semiconductors nanostructures by means of optical and electrical techniques, for the comprehension of their properties and the development of new devices.
